Advanced Instruments partnered with Innova’s design team to enhance product development, utilizing their expertise in CAD, DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly), color matching, and tooling.

Innova identified that the initial design’s numerous screws could lead to assembly and service issues, suggesting a new plastic enclosure design with fewer screws for easier access. They also recommended using a standard paint color to reduce costs while maintaining brand consistency.

The collaboration between Innova and Advanced Instruments led to the successful launch of the redesigned device at the American Society of Microbiology General Meeting, earning positive reviews.
