Innova Welcomes A.K. Stratton as Director of Design
Innova Engineered Plastics is proud to announce the appointment of A.K. Stratton as Director of Design. In this role, Mr. Stratton will lead Innova’s design and development efforts, ensuring manufacturable solutions that align with customer requirements from early-stage concept through production. As Innova continues to experience significant growth across the medical device industry, A.K.’s extensive knowledge in plastics manufacturing, combined with design leadership across industries, will play a pivotal role in advancing Innova’s mission to deliver world-class enclosure and component solutions.
Mr. Stratton brings over 33 years of product design and design management experience, spanning medical, industrial, consumer, and military applications. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Product Development at Helix Design, where he led a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, and prototyping specialists. Under his leadership, Helix delivered numerous award-winning products to market, supporting clients such as ConMed, Stanley, Tubbs Snowshoes, and Harris.
With a background in industrial design and a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology, Mr. Stratton is known for blending aesthetic vision with mechanical feasibility. His expertise includes plastic injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and a range of CAD and design platforms. He has worked extensively with fast-paced consulting firms and brings a strong track record of mentoring talent, building client relationships, and executing successful product launches.
